EASTON, MARYLAND — Summer listening sessions are over. The comment box is not.

Engage Talbot’s note thanking residents for Comprehensive Plan listening sessions in August and early September says staff and consultants are drafting early chapters anticipated for Talbot County Planning Commission review in early November. The same notice reminds the public that feedback is welcome throughout the process.

That matters here. Land use, roads, utilities, and shoreline policy get written in these chapters long before a final Council vote. If you have a specific ask — where growth should stop, which corridors need transit, which farms should stay farms — put it in writing while the pages are still soft.

How, per Engage Talbot: submit comments online through the Comp Plan comment form, or deliver them in person Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 215 Bay Street, Suite 2, Easton. Follow updates on Engage Talbot’s Comp Plan hub and on Planning Commission agendas.

This is not an endorsement of any draft chapter. It is a nudge to use the open channel the county itself is advertising.
