An independent home for Talbot County news, culture, and community life.
The Talbot Patriot is built around one idea: Talbot County residents deserve a local news source that covers government, the arts, the Bay, schools, and small business with the same care — from Easton to St. Michaels, Oxford, Trappe, and beyond.

Bayside Bleachers
Talbot fields first, then the Shore, then the national news that actually matters here.
Bayside Bleachers covers what Talbot plays and watches. Local first: Easton High, St. Michaels Middle High, parks-and-rec, and the gates and calendars that get a family out on a Friday night. The same desk also carries regional Shore scores and the national stories that land in this county — Ravens, Orioles, Terps, Navy, and the week's top American sports news — without burying the high-school game under a national wire.

The Sea Gulls allowed Oswego no shots Saturday, then scored four goals in 1:35 on Sunday; Easton’s Juliana Stepp added the seventh goal at Morrisville.
The Sea Gulls scored 44 points to edge Johns Hopkins and TCNJ at Winter Place Park; Gabe Riling finished fourth in the men’s race, with a time Salisbury said was three-tenths of a second off its school record.
Michael Harris II’s three-run homer in the first inning set the tone as Atlanta finished Philadelphia on Thursday night at Truist Park and advanced to face the Dodgers.
The Sea Gulls held at No. 13 in the D3football.com Top 25 and are scheduled for a 3 p.m. kickoff Oct. 3 in Ewing, N.J., per a Sept. 30 athletics rankings note and the football schedule.
