CHESTERTOWN, MARYLAND — Washington College beat McDaniel 6-1 in field hockey Wednesday afternoon at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium for its first Centennial Conference win of the season, according to the college’s athletics release.
Jamie Baldwin scored 3:44 into the game and again early in the third quarter. Tara Radebaugh and Tyler Rice scored 50 seconds apart in the second quarter, and Natalie Watkinson and Erin Houlihan added third-quarter goals for a 6-0 lead. Rice finished with a goal and two assists. McDaniel’s only goal came on a penalty stroke with 6:38 left, and the Shorewomen outshot the Green Terror 26-6.
Baldwin, a sophomore forward, is from Church Hill and attended Queen Anne’s County High School, according to the Shorewomen’s roster.
Washington College is 3-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference. The Shorewomen host No. 14 Ursinus on Saturday at noon.
The win ended a six-game losing streak.
