EASTON, MARYLAND — Three graduates of Talbot County's public high schools, spanning classes from 1959 to 1996, are the Talbot County Public Schools Education Foundation's 2026 Distinguished Alumni.
The foundation's website lists the honorees as Thomas E. Hill of the Easton High Class of 1960, April L. Motovidlak of the St. Michaels High Class of 1996 and Dorothy V. Palmer of the Robert Russa Moton High Class of 1959. Talbot County Public Schools posted the foundation's announcement on its news page Oct. 1.
The program spotlights graduates of the county's public schools who have gone on to do notable work in their careers and communities, according to the foundation. Each year it honors them at its Mission Possible celebration and shares their stories to inspire current students. This year's celebration is Friday, Nov. 6, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Oxford Community Center. Tickets are $100 per person and are available through the event website or from Debbie Gardner at 410-822-0330, ext. 102.
This year's three join an honor roll that, in 2025, named Dale Webb Sr. of Moton High's Class of 1965, Linda Brown of Easton High's Class of 1971 and Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio of St. Michaels High's Class of 1995.
The foundation was formed in October 2016 in partnership with the Mid-Shore Community Foundation. Its stated mission is to raise and distribute money for needs and opportunities inspired by TCPS educators and students. Its funds are component funds of the Mid-Shore Community Foundation.
The foundation's office is at 12 Magnolia St. in Easton. The contact listed is Debbie Gardner, 410-822-0330, ext. 102.
