OWINGS MILLS, MARYLAND — Lamar Jackson will miss a second straight game. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter ruled out the two-time MVP on Friday for Sunday's game at the Cleveland Browns after Jackson again did not practice.
The team said Friday that Jackson had not practiced since hurting his ankle 12 days earlier.
"It's day-by-day, I would say," Minter said. "I think it's just a decision for his best interest."
Tyler Huntley is set to make his second straight start after leading the Ravens to a comeback overtime win in Atlanta. He has won his last three starts, dating back to last season.
Minter also ruled out center Cam Jurgens (concussion), so rookie Vega Ioane will get another start at center. The team said Friday that Jurgens had not had a full practice since being traded to Baltimore nine days earlier. Defensive tackle Broderick Washington Jr. (ankle) and rookie tight end Matt Hibner (hand) are also out. Minter said Hibner is not a candidate for injured reserve.
Guards Andrew Vorhees (foot) and Emery Jones Jr. (ankle) are questionable. So is rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane, who practiced fully all week but would have to be removed from injured reserve to play.
Pass rusher Trey Hendrickson has no injury designation and is set to play after having his finger surgically repaired a couple of weeks ago. Receivers Zay Flowers (toe) and Rashod Bateman (shoulder) also have no designation.
Cleveland ruled out five players: defensive tackles Mike Hall and Kalia Davis, quarterback Dillon Gabriel, guard Teven Jenkins and running back Dylan Sampson. Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has been sacked a league-high 19 times.
The Ravens (4-1) and Browns (3-2) kick off at 1 p.m. Sunday at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.
