ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND — Marylanders can now follow the rebuild of the Francis Scott Key Bridge on a state dashboard that is updated monthly. Gov. Wes Moore announced the Key Bridge Rebuild Dashboard in a release dated Oct. 1, 2026. It is posted at KeyBridgeRebuild.com, the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) project site.
The dashboard gathers measurable construction progress, completed activities, design and procurement milestones, and community outreach in one place. Much of the work is on the water, and the state says the tool is meant to show construction that may not be visible from land.
| Key Bridge rebuild (state records) | Record |
|---|---|
| Dashboard updates | Monthly |
| Total bridge length | More than 2 miles |
| Pylons | More than 600 feet tall |
| Distance between main span pylons | More than 1,600 feet |
| Minimum vertical clearance in the navigation channel | 230 feet |
The project site lists fall 2026 items including trestle construction near completion, continued permanent foundation pile installation and offsite pile fabrication.
"Much of the work on the Key Bridge Rebuild is happening on the water and can be difficult to see from land, so we are excited to launch a dashboard allowing all Marylanders to view the progress as it happens," said Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary and MDTA Chair Katie Thomson.
The project site also offers text alerts and email updates about construction activity.
